Yesterday, I visited one of Philippines famous church. Its along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City. Also known as the St. Peter’s Basilica of the Philippines due to the designs and structure of the church were the same as the one in Vatican City. The St. Peter Parish, Quezon City.
Situated in a busy avenue of the metro, the church serves a constant reminder that we must take a glimpse and reflect despite the busy schedules that we have everyday.
The chuch is also known for the gallery of Popes.
Another church who is on the look out after it has launched last year a project aiming for a facelift, Our Lady of the Abandoned Parish Marikina presented the project called: A Beautiful Church for a Beautiful Lady. Last night, I chanced to take a photo of its ceiling and was astound by the beauty of the paintings.
Its just one of many developments inside the church and you will feel the sacredness once you witness the glimpse of the alluring changes of the church.
And last, I visited the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes and took a photo of it by night.
There has been significant developments if you will visit these places. And you will discover more the beauty and magnificient work of art dedicated for love and devotion.
The Holy week is fast approaching, and the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of the Abandoned released the Church’s schedule for this year’s lent.
Come and join us this lent. And I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to come and witness the greatness of the Lord. This April 14, Oremus: Lenten Eucharistic Adoration, it will take place at OLA Parish by 9pm. This is for free. Hope to see you there!
