Church Wrap: My Top 30 Churches I Visited

  One of my favorite hobby is to take photo of the churches. When I’m on field, I never let the day pass and leave the place without taking pictures of the local churches. So far, this year, I visited 30 local churches from various places in the Philippines. And I decided to rank it based on my memorable experience on that area. So here are my top 30 list of my favorite churches I conquered.
   To start with, at number 30, the St. Joseph Cathlolic Parish in Olongapo City, Zambales.

Number 29 is the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte.

Number 28 is St. Ferdinand Cathedral in Lucena City, Quezon.

The number 27 is the Sto. Niño Cathedral in Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur.

Next, at number 26 spot is St. Therese Church in Lemery, Batangas.

At number 25 is Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Lipa, Batangas.

Number 24, is non other than Sto. Tomas Church in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

At number 23, Sta. Maria, Bulacan’s 200 year old church, the La Purisima Concepcion Church.

Number 22 spot is another Immaculate Conception Church in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

The number 21 who clinches this spot is Batangas City’s Santisima Trinidad Church.

And taking the first half, is non other than the Prelate Cathedral of St. Mark of Infanta, Quezon.

  And, at 19th place is the Holy Rosary Parish in Angeles City, Pampanga.

Number 18 is the Immaculate Concepcion Church in Bauan, Batangas.

Another church in Batangas City, the Basilica of Immaculate Concepcion at number 17.

At number 16, the St. John the Baptist Church of Tanauan, Batangas.

At number 15 spot is San Fernando, La Union Church.

Another Immaculate Concepcion Church, at number 14 from Sta. Cruz, Laguna.

At number 13, from Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental, The Holy Rosary Parish.

Number 12, the miraculous Shrine of Our Lady of Cotta (Nuestra Señora de Triunfo dela Cruz/ Our Lady of Triumph) in Ozamiz, Misamis Occ. The guardian of Panguil Bay in Ozamiz.

At number 11, is the St. Joseph Church in Balanga, Bataan (Church of Balanga).

And we are down to the Top 10! And taking the 10th spot is Lipa’s San Sebastian Cathedral.

At number 9, the Our Lady of the Atonement of Sins Cathedral in Baguio City, Benguet. (Baguio Cathedral).

At number 8, the Our Lady of Charity Pligrimage Church (Nuestra Señora de Caridad) famously called as ‘Apo Caridad’ in Bantay, Ilocos Sur.

At 7th spot is not far from the church of Apo Caridad, known for its historical city and cobblestone street of Calle Crisologo, the St. Paul Cathedral of Vigan, Ilocos Sur (Vigan Cathedral).

Taking the 6th spot is the Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral in Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental.

And yes, my top five favorite churches I visited are:

At number 5, Our Lady of Aranzazu (Nuestra Señora de Aranzazu) in San Mateo, Rizal.

At number 4, the St. John Sahagun Church or Candon Chruch in Candon, Ilocos Sur.

Taking the 3rd spot, I have two. The Our Lady of Caysasay, in Calaca, Batangas and the Minor Basilica of Taal.

At number 2 is the Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral (Palawan Cathedral) in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

And taking the lead, the gorgeous, the Transfiguration Chapel of Caleruega.

To date, I visited 33 churches this year. And many more to come as I continue to explore the famous landmarks of our nation.
