The century old image of Black Nazarene of Quiapo once again showed His rock star popularity as it was processioned anew this Sunday, February 1st.
Around 1,000 joined the procession painting the Marikina town in red and yellow.
It is truly right and just that the Black Nazarene attracts more people not just from different walks of life but also, from non- catholic sectors. This is how Hesus Nazareno can do as far as popularity is concern. Reaching more lives and deepening devotions on the century old image.
The procession started at 3:30 in the afternoon and ended reaching OLA Parish at 7:30 in the evening. The said procession were generally peaceful and in order, others walked in barefoot as their panata and jostling with the devotees in the crowd.
You can still catch a glimpse of the Black Nazarene until Tuesday, February 3. You can find below in the photo the remaining activities dedicated for Hesus Nazareno. Viva Hesus Nazareno! Viva OLA! Viva Marikina!
